AI Updates: Do You and Your Family Have an AI Safe Word?

A few weeks ago our son, Cobe, sent us a TikTok video where a young woman was describing a new type of AI phone scam that we need to be aware of: virtual kidnapping using highly realistic AI voice cloning technology.

It only takes three seconds for potential scammers to clone your voice, right down to your tone, manner of speaking, and inflection. Three seconds.

Scammers call, tell you they have a relative of yours, and they are going to harm him/her if you don’t send them a sum of money. They put your “relative” on the phone, crying, saying they messed up, saying they are in danger, etc.

Here is one article that details one mother’s harrowing ordeal when scammers told her they were going to pump her daughter full of drugs, rape her, and drop her off in Mexico where she would never be seen again if they didn’t receive $1 million dollars…

In this instance, she was able to get her friend to help by calling her husband and verifying that her daughter was safe.

Here’s another where a young man supposedly killed a U.S. Diplomat in a car accident and needed $15k to get out of jail … immediately. His parents considered it could be a scam, but it sounded just like him so they assumed it was real.

An AI safe word is one way you can cut through the insidiousness of the deep fake world. If the person on the other end doesn’t know the safe word, you can bet it’s an AI generated voice. We now have an AI safe word for our family, and highly recommend you do the same!

What We’re Learning: Breaking Limiting Beliefs with Blunt Arrows Placed at Our Throats

Last night at Kris Krohn’s Unleashing Your Financial Destiny event, we had the opportunity to walk into an arrow that was placed at the bottom of our throats in order to help us break our limiting beliefs!

Don’t worry – the arrow had a blunt end on it and yes, it did end up breaking quite easily. However, if you didn’t walk straight into it, it would bend but not break. It would hurt and leave a big red mark on your throat.

The full exercise entailed each of us writing our number one limiting belief(s) on an arrow with a black pointy marker. Next we were told to write the opposite of that, or the counter-active empowering belief.

We were divided into groups of 15. At that point, our team leader took Bart’s arrow and had him YELL (the whole room was doing this at the same time) his limiting belief. The team leader then had Bart yell his new, empowering belief. He then had Bart scream “I Am Limitless” as he held the arrow to Bart’s throat (he had a heavy glove on and was gently pushing the arrow toward Bart) and Bart took a huge step forward, walking right into it.

When the arrow broke of course we all jumped and cheered and screamed for him. The team leader then proceeded to do it with everyone in the circle.

The exercise creates an intense amount of emotion and adrenaline, but did it help us break our limiting beliefs? STAY TUNED and we’ll let you know!

Tech We’re Using: Catchbox Throwable Mic

Just this week we pulled out our Catchbox mic to make sure it’s ready to go for our event. Hard to believe we are only two weeks away!!

We love to use the Catchbox mic at our events. It’s throwable, wireless, and an easy way to get event attendees to participate and still be heard without having someone have to walk a mic over to every person who has their hand up! Plus we really feel like it’s much less intimidating for people to talk into it versus a “regular” mic because it doesn’t feel like one. Does that make sense?

We did a custom design on our Catchbox: our “I Do Epic” logo is on two sides of the cube and our “Billion Dollar Cowboy” logo on the other two sides. The cube itself is black.

Anyway – just thought we’d share! If you put on events, this mic may be just what you are looking for!

Sexy Us: We’re Trying This Out for This Blog

We get asked quite often about our relationship and we realize this is vulnerable topic for many, but also one that many want to hear about.

Sex is complex, right? One of the most complex topics ever. We have struggled to find balance, just like anyone else out there. His needs, her needs, how it all works together.

What we have found is that it is truly a journey. Growth, forgiveness, pain, joy, hell, ecstasy… all the emotion of everything about our relationship can wrapped up into how our sex life is, or isn’t.

SO! That being said, the thought for today is going to be something a little less exciting but still important: your day-to-day relationship should look different from your sexy relationship. In fact, we like to go as far as considering them as two different relationships.

It’s hard to get all hot and bothered over the person you pay the bills with, juggle carpool with, or puke all over when you are sick. We have seen each other in the best but also the worst of times. Cuddling is amazing, but it sure isn’t sexy!

So if you want a long-term relationship that also has some heat to it, think about your sexy relationship as it’s own relationship. You could even go as far as imagining it as being with someone else, just for the sake of this exercise. On a scale of 1-10, how does that relationship look to you? Is it fun? Flirty? Do you look forward to going out and being present and joyful together? Do you do thoughtful things for each other that also puts a little gasoline on the fire?

OR is that relationship non-existent? Start thinking about your sexy relationship and see what you can do this week to spice it up!
