The Ultimate Productivity Brain Hack, a Hilarious and Feel Good TV Series, and Why 10X is Easier than 2X

What We’re Watching: Ted Lasso, Season 3

Season 3 of Ted Lasso dropped into Apple TV around the end of March and we are here.for.it. If you haven’t seen it, you may want to check it out! It’s a comedy about an average football coach who gets hired to coach a football (soccer) team in England.

It has a lot of witty humor in it… and Ted is such a positive, happy guy that it’s both funny and a feel-good watch. It is rated M and there is some language in it – just a head’s up there.

You can binge watch Season 1 and 2 and get caught up with us on Season 3!

It’s a fun way for us to end pickleball league night every Wednesday evening when a new episode drops!

What We’re Reading: “10x is Better than 2x: How World Class Entrepreneurs Achieve More By Doing Less” by Dr. Benjamin Hardy

At the Mastermind in Paradise, Russell Brunson arranged for Dr. Benjamin Hardy to come speak to us. He is the author of eight books (three that were co-authored by Dan Sullivan) including “Willpower Doesn’t Work,” “Personality Isn’t Permanent,” “The Gap and the Gain,” and more.

Dr. Hardy was a world class speaker. The depth of his knowledge and his ability to communicate the content of his books in an actionable way was both inspiring and motivating.

And to put icing on the cake, we were all gifted an advanced copy of his new book, “10x is Better than 2x: How World Class Entrepreneurs Achieve More by Doing Less.” This particular book doesn’t release until May 9, 2023.

We are loving it so far… Bart’s favorite part is that Dr. Hardy backs everything up with hard data. It’s one thing to say something can be done, but it’s another to back it up and prove the model 🙂 Stay tuned for a full review when we are finished with it!

EpicDay and the Pomodora Technique

On our EpicDay morning accountability + networking calls, Bart taught the Pomodora Technique. The Pomodora Technique is an amazing productivity brain hack to keep you laser-focused for a short amount of time.

This results in being more productive while experiencing less burnout.

Here’s how it works:

First, create a list of the tasks you need to get done for the day.

Second, set a timer for 25 minutes. This is straight-up focus time with no interruptions allowed. Work only on your first task until the 25 minutes is over.

At that point, take a 5-10 minute break.

After that, repeat the process.

You can choose the same task if you aren’t quite done, or the next one on your list.

After four 25 minute sessions, take a 15-30 minute break.
